peace of mind audit

What is a Food Alert audit?

Our visit starts with an audit of the health & safety support documentation. This is followed by an inspection of the premises in order to identify any physical or operational contraventions of legislation or good practice.

Audit reports include executive summary, review of previous scores and photographs.
All action points are given a priority rating that enables the manager to adopt an appropriate action plan.

Health and Safety Auditing

Our team of auditors complete a large number of audits per year, these include auditing health & safety documentation and safety inspections of premises against national legal requirements, industry best practice, corporate governance and where applicable Federation of Tour Operators code of practice.

Food Hygiene Auditing

This type of in-depth/check-list audit is focused on the catering and food suppliers sector and is conducted with special emphasis on high risk areas identified by the application of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and Risk Assessment techniques.

Why do you need health and safety and food hygiene audits?

Our audits are adapted to meet the different needs of our clients.

Following many years of experience we have developed two main types of audits which are adapted to meet the different needs of our clients. An ‘in-depth’ (classic) free style dictated audit captured (using digital recording equipment for dictation and photographic evidence), and a ‘check list’ PDA style audit (using uniquely developed proprietary software) which focuses the audits to a pre-defined list of questions. Each audit survey is tailored to meet our client’s specific business needs.

Clients can specify tailored bespoke audit content that meets the needs of their business or choose one of our comprehensive packaged ‘Peace of Mind’ products which has been designed to meet the needs of different types of premises i.e. hotels, single site restaurants or groups. The audits are captured electronically, reported and scored using various technologies (i.e. hand-held computers) to reduce reporting times and ensure accuracy. Reporting can be provided via e-mail or delivered by other means of direct communication with the client.
