IT Support Manager – Windows/Internet Services Central London £25-30K. A thriving Food safety and health and safety consultancy with leading UK Restaurants and Hotels as its clients is seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Manager. Duties will involve supporting the Company’s IT systems across pc’s and mobile devices and managing the Company’s core audit and CRM systems.
Description:
IT Support Manager with good knowledge of Windows XP Windows 2003, Exchange 2003, LAN Networking, TCP / IP, SQL Server and Reporting software.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the Company’s IT systems and core audit systems. The IT manager reports to the CEO.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- evaluating user needs and system functionality;
- ensuring that the IT facilities meet the needs of individuals and projects;
- managing the audit software and systems on mobile devices including setting up of questionnaire templates, audit consolidation and reporting;
- planning, developing and implementing the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness;
- troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system;
- maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, softwares and resources;
install workstations, connect and set up hardware;
- scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems;
- researching and installing new mobile systems;
- ensuring the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision;
- ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to;
- providing secure access to the network for remote users;
- ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack;
- providing users with appropriate support and advice;
- managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems;
- keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
- managing the Company’s databases (access and SQL) and Sage CRM system
The company’s network infrastructure is managed by an external consultant and is therefore not a core responsibility of the position. However, the IT support manager will occasionally need to support this consultant.
This is an excellent role for an IT Support Manager with good 1st - 3rd line support knowledge, looking for a step into a responsible role within a dynamic, friendly and fast growing auditing company.
Specific Knowledge
The IT manager will be required to support the company’s handheld devices both PDA, laptop and tablet based.
Audit Software
The audit software together with the Company’s Sage CRM system are the core applications and key to the company’s competitiveness. The IT Support manager is required to:
- work with the audit software supplier on day to day queries with the software and its use.
