• This qualification has been developed to raise awareness of key food safety issues and to provide employees with an induction to food hygiene.

Description

The CIEH Level 1 Food Safety provides an ideal solution to staff induction training including

- new employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge;

- employees handling low-risk or wrapped foods (category A);

- front of house employees, such as waiting or check out staff;

- back of house employees, such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff.

The Level 1 is also suitable for employees for whom English is a second language or those with special needs.

Doing this course, you will understand the basic requirements of food safety and hygiene: how to keep clean and hygienic; how to keep work areas clean; the role an individual plays in reducing contamination and identify key food safety issues.

Course Content

The CIEH eLearning Level 1 Food Safety course is developed to make the training friendly, understandable and as easily as possible.
The CIEH Level 1 Food Safety online is an interactive experience with colour photos, illustrations and animations to help you learn easily.
You can also choose between the male and female voice-overs according your preference.
During the course you will find games, activities and revision questions to test your knowledge.
Printable PDF summaries are available to guide you during your course.

Duration:

You will need from 1.5 hours to complete the course (depending on learning speed)
The licence gives you unlimited Online access for one year from the date of purchase.

Examination and certification

Once your Online course is completed, you will be required to take the Online exam for the CIEH Level 1 Food Safety online course. This test consists of 20 questions of which 18 must be answered correctly to achieve a pass.

Candidates achieving a pass will be able to immediately print their CIEH certificate confirming successful completion of the course.
