Open courses are held at our training centre at 247-249 Cromwell Road, London SW5 9GA and  start at 9.15am and finish at 4.30pm.

Objectives

With current public global interest and the requirements of owners and investors, the need for businesses to address environmental issues and their own environmental impact has never been greater. This qualification has been designed for middle managers and supervisors who have responsibility for decision-making, managing budgets, allocating tasks and meeting performance targets. The course aims to give candidates the confidence to:

  • deal with environmental issues
  • take corrective actions where necessary
  • contribute towards shaping policy
  • deal with customer queries

Course Structure

A minimum of 6 hours course instruction over one day.  The course includes lectures enhanced by audio/visual material and practical teaching aids/ Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in discussion sessions and group activities.

Examination

The assessment consists of an examination paper containing of 30 multiple choice questions to be completed in one hour under examination conditions. Candidates who achieve 20 or more correct answers will pass the examination and receive a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
