Associate Auditor

Location: North West/North East/Yorkshire/Midlands

Planning Coordinator

Location: Central London (WC1)

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planning Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for contacting our clients to book audits and other visits, managing the diaries of your designated consultants to ensure that their billable time is maximised and that their audits are scheduled in the most efficient way.

You will have experience in a planning or diary management role, ideally within a consultancy environment. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to build strong relationships with consultants and clients alike. You will also have exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail, as well as experience in using a CRM system.

Food Technician (Client - Restaurant Chain)

Location: Central London (WC1)

Start date: Immediate

We are looking for a Food Technician to join our client's culinary team to create, implement and manage the F&B, technology & safety strategy within their established and growing group. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance and trace-ability of all food and beverage products, supply chain integrity, allergens, nutritional data, HACCP and operational compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Create, implement and manage the F&B, technology & safety strategy, demonstrating it exceeds the offering of its direct competitors in terms of range, innovation and quality
  • To review menus for legality, ensuring both statutory and ‘best practice’ compliance in relation to matters such as allergens advice, foods less than thoroughly cooked and training standards/descriptions. Up-to-date food labelling knowledge with due diligence controls
  • Review existing and new product performance on a weekly and monthly basis based on insight form non conformance, Procurement, FSA and NSF ranking data and amend the range as appropriate
  • Communicate, deliver and implement smooth menu launches according to the commercial team strategy covering allergens, Nutritional and basic trading standards guideline
  • Ongoing review and improvement of business practices, technology and equipment to drive better efficiencies in the business
  • Monitor compliance with or investigate breaches of food safety legislation
  • Deliver HACCP training to new starters and liaise with Area Chefs to achieve 4/5 stars across the group

You will have:

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience as a technical manager in a food service or manufacturing business
  • Strong communication, influencing and management skills within a complex and multiple stakeholder environment
  • Good analytical, report writing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrative passion for innovation and continuous improvement

Client Services Co-ordinator & Technical Support

Location: Central London

Food Alert is actively looking for a proficient Client Services Coordinator & Technical Support who is successful in lending themselves to client facing enterprises, through excellent communication skills and effective expertise and professionalism concerning completing tasks. Our Client Services Coordinator will work within the client support team and will aid with client technical queries, managing allegations of food poisoning and accident report triage along with providing administrative support to clients, consultants and head office staff.

This is a new role within Food Alert and provides an exciting opportunity for a quality candidate to support our wide and varied client base. We are looking for an individual with a technical support background in the food industry who has great communication skills and a track record of working within a team of like-minded individuals. You will need to have a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification, achieved within the last 3 years, any supporting food safety training would be an advantage.
