Are you an experienced Business Development Consultant looking for your next career move?
We have ambitious plans for growth in 2021 and beyond, and we are currently recruiting for an Internal Business Development Consultant to join our team. You will work alongside our Business Development Consultant and Head of Sales to develop and upsell additional Food Alert services to existing clients, including our eLearning and software. You will also prospect and book appointments for the Head of Sales and Managing Director.

About the role
You will research and source leads, then contact hospitality operators to discuss our services, software, and eLearning and use your consultative sales approach and effective questioning techniques to set up meetings with them. You will be handling objections, building excellent rapport, understanding the clients’ needs and thinking on your feet. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients from small restaurants and cafes through to large high street chains, pub groups, hotels and venues. You will cross sell additional products and services to existing Food Alert clients.
You will have proven sales or business development experience, including in the hospitality sector. More importantly we are looking for someone with instinctive sales skills who is a confident and natural communicator, with the ability to quickly follow up on leads and opportunities. You will not be afraid of picking up the phone and generating your own leads. You will have the professionalism and personality to build instant rapport and develop great relationships with operators across the hospitality sector. You understand the importance of building a pipeline and are able to vary your approach to suit your audience. You know that success in business-to-business account management has a lot to do with patience, understanding your client and products and determination and focus.
You may have worked in an account management, sales or similar client interactive role, most likely in a business-to-business environment. Some understanding of the hospitality and food safety sector would be useful, but we will provide comprehensive training on our services, products and client portfolio so that you are able to provide clients and potential clients with solutions in a consultative and informative manner.
