Peter Christopher-Ohrt
Co-Founder, Managing Director Technical Services

Peter is a joint founder of Food Alert and has over 35 years’ experience in food hygiene and health & safety. He is responsible for the company’s technical services, policy development and documentation.

David Bashford
Managing Director Client Services

David has overall responsibility for the delivery of the company’s services as well as client liaison and business development.

John Haswell
Client Services Director

John has more than 25 years of experience account managing large multi-site businesses. He has also gained a wealth of food and health and safety experience in the private sector and in local authority. Responsibilities include managing group clients and key members of the Food Alert Team.

Richard Bartlett
Client Services Director

Richard comes with a wide range of experience including working in the commercial sector for a global manufacturing company for a number of years. Having come from an engineering background, Richard is now sharing his extensive experience by providing advice and guidance to clients and also to our team of consultants, ensuring that consultancy provided by Food Alert is of the highest standard achievable.

Derek Hopkins
Client Services Director

Before joining Food Alert, Derek spent a number of years with the UK's largest food retailer where he advised on trading law both within the UK and internationally. More recently, he has been responsible for hygiene and safety in one of the UK's largest cinema groups. Derek's responsibilities include managing a number of group clients and hotels as well as key members of the Food Alert team.

Tracey Usher
Director of Client Support and Training Services

With a background in Further Education and business support Tracey understands the importance of linking training and development to industry and how to make it relevant. Her previous experience of developing bespoke, tailored programmes is being utilised at Food Alert to expand their portfolio of ‘Training Services’.
