Introduction
Annabel Kyle is a seasoned food safety and compliance expert with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Starting her career as a trained chef and front-of-house manager in the casual fine dining sector, Annabel transitioned into environmental health 17 years ago. She initially worked as an enforcement officer in the public sector before moving into consultancy over a decade ago.
Annabel joined Food Alert in 2021 as Client Services Director following our acquisition of STS, where she served as Consultancy Manager. In her current role as Technical Director, she focuses on compliance, interpreting legislation and guidance, updating and creating policies and procedures for clients, supporting clients with EHO appeals and serving as the technical voice of Food Alert. Her expertise spans hospital catering, sous vide cooking, festival catering and noise and odour pollution, making her a valuable resource for clients across various sectors.
Annabel is also a subject matter expert in Listeriosis in healthcare, having contributed to the drafting of the Food Standards Agency’s guidance in this area and its rollout to hospital caterers and EHOs. She’s spoken at various industry events such as Hospital Caterers Association events and the Salford Food Safety Conference, and has appeared on BBC Breakfast.

Nathan’s professional background is rooted in creative design and development, with extensive expertise in digital strategy, software development, and visual design. Over the years, he has refined his skills, championing the adoption of the web as a transformative tool for business through his work in creative and marcoms agencies throughout the 1990s and 2000s. He later ran his own successful digital media agency for a decade before joining iHasco in a Creative and Technical Director role.
These experiences have profoundly influenced Nathan’s approach to strategy at iHasco, where he leverages design and technology to simplify and enhance learning delivery. Guided by the belief that “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication,” Nathan is passionate about creating intuitive, impactful learning experiences that remove complexity and empower users.
