Highfield Qualifications Level 2 Award in Fire Safety aims to provide candidates with a full understanding of:
- Fire risks and control
- The principles and practice of fire safety
- The role of the nominated fire warden
Participants will gain the confidence and knowledge needed to carry out their duties as company fire wardens, marshals, stewards etc.
The course covers a wide range of topics including:
- Fires in the workplace
- Fire safety standards
- Protecting people and property
- Fire risk assessments
- The role of a fire warden
This course includes lectures enhanced by audio/visual material and practical teaching aids. Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in discussion sessions and group activities.
(please note that live fire training is not included, although practical training in the use of fire extinguishers can be facilitated venue permitting)
The course concludes with a multiple choice exam. Successful candidates will receive a certificate from Highfield Examinations.
