Food Alert begins exciting new partnership with The Azzurri Group

Food Alert is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with The Azzurri Group, a market leader in the UK Italian casual dining sector.

With nearly 300 restaurants throughout the UK, The Azzurri Group is a successful and expanding business which operates four brands: Zizzi, ASK Italian, Coco di Mama and Radio Alice.

Food Alert has recently been awarded a major contract with The Azzurri Group to deliver their food hygiene and health & safety auditing programme across the group’s entire UK restaurant portfolio. This allows the group’s in-house safety team to adopt a more pro-active approach to the development of policies and procedures, whilst enabling them to react rapidly and effectively to situations that require their advice and support.

David Bashford, Managing Director Client Services, Food Alert, explains: “We are thrilled to be working in close partnership with The Azzurri Group. We will be responsible for carrying out all safety auditing for the brands, reviewing the Group’s audit content and implementing a highly effective audit programme, using our leading-edge technology to provide informed reports whilst analysing the detailed findings.”

“Our advanced software platform, Auditus, has been designed to facilitate efficient auditing and, at the same time, enable report access, trend analysis and action close-out. Designed to pro-actively monitor performance, our exceptional software system can identify findings based on brand, region or restaurant, enabling the client to create dashboards and assess health, safety and hygiene standards in every restaurant.”

One of the primary reasons for Food Alert’s success with The Azzurri Group was by adopting the same philosophy they have with their existing portfolio of clients, in particular the commitment to working in close partnership with all levels in the business. The company is dedicated to advising on all compliance requirements, providing high quality audits and offering suggestions and solutions based on their findings. Every action is tracked and tasks can be automatically prioritised.

Lucy La Rana, Head of Quality and Safety, The Azzurri Group, comments: “We chose to partner with Food Alert as they are able to support our business at all levels. They have the right experience and knowledge to guide us on operational risk and compliance from a strategic perspective along with the capability to deliver regular auditing across our national portfolio of sites. Their Auditus software is a powerful tool, which enables senior management to have complete visibility on action close outs and audit results. They understand the value of true partnership and The Azzurri Group look forward to working closely with Food Alert in the future.”
