Four of Food Alert’s customers have been awarded a coveted Michelin star for the first time and will appear in the 2020 edition of the red book.

The Artichoke, Amersham has been with Food Alert since 2014 and chef Richard Swale has built a loyal customer base by dishing up innovative and refined Modern European cuisine, featuring the best of the season’s ingredients – including many foraged from the surrounding area.

Shoreditch-based Mãos is an intimate culinary space that was co-founded in 2018 by Nuno Mendes and James Brown, who appointed Food Alert to carry out their food safety audits. Up to 16 guests are invited to enjoy the Mãos experience, who dine around a communal table to enjoy a three-hour seasonal dinner menu by Executive Head Chef, Edoardo Pellicano.

Having only officially opened its doors in January 2019, Pensons on the Netherwood Estate, Herefordshire-Worcestershire border has made an immediate culinary impact by making this year’s Michelin list of honours. Former Londoner, head chef Lee Westcott has clearly adapted to the country life.

Endo at The Rotunda, London is Food Alert’s newest client in the list of first time Michelin star entrants. Sushi master Endo Kazutoshi’s 16-seater restaurant, located at the top of the recently redeveloped landmark BBC Television Centre in White City, offers a unique sensory experience, drawing inspiration from Japanese traditions while paying homage to the many people and places that have inspired Endo on his journey.

Food Alert’s managing director, David Bashford, said: “All four restaurants offer outstanding quality and service, and we are delighted to be associated with such shining examples of culinary excellence and standards.”
