Food Alert is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with PizzaExpress. With more than 470 sites and over 10,000 employees, PizzaExpress is one of the UK’s most successful restaurant brands.

PizzaExpress’ passion for pizza goes as far back as 1965, when founder, Peter Boizot, set out to bring true Italian pizza to the streets of London. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength becoming a national favourite.

PizzaExpress approached Food Alert and following a comprehensive review of Food Alert’s safety management platform, ALERT65, and auditing software, Auditus, they signed an agreement to use the systems across their entire portfolio of sites.

PizzaExpress will be using the cloud-based ALERT65 software to manage safety compliance across all their restaurants, helping them gain full visibility of compliance, reduce risk and paperwork, improve operational efficiencies and to save time and money.

In addition to providing a tailor-made safety compliance solution, PizzaExpress will be using Food Alert’s powerful auditing software, Auditus, enabling them to deliver bespoke paperless audits and checklists, quickly and easily, generating detailed reports using their results. Auditus’ offline and online capability means that their auditors are not limited by connectivity – they are able to perform audits in any location.

Rupi Zani, Quality and Safety Director, PizzaExpress comments: “At PizzaExpress we believe that by integrating safety procedures into the daily working lives of our team members, we can achieve excellent standards without it feeling like an extra chore. With this ethos in mind we set out to work with a safety compliance software provider that could tailor their system to our specific requirements and to date we are thrilled with what they have built for us.”

Rupi concluded: “After reviewing a number of different software providers we decided that ALERT65 and Auditus would work best for PizzaExpress. Both systems are intuitive, easy to use and have the capability to enable us to effectively manage compliance across multiple sites. We were particularly impressed with the bespoke work Food Alert put into their systems to make sure they met our needs. We look forward to partnering with Food Alert in the future implementing innovative ways to improve safety standards.”

David Bashford, Managing Director Client Services at Food Alert explains: “We are thrilled to be working in close partnership with PizzaExpress, providing them with our advanced safety compliance and auditing software. PizzaExpress’ decision to use ALERT65 and Auditus is a further endorsement of the power and capability of both these systems.”

David continues: “The continual investment we put into the development of our software, coupled with our in-depth understanding of the hospitality industry has enabled us to create market-leading systems that are able to transform business practice, reduce risk exposure and costs. We are looking forward to working with PizzaExpress helping them maintain and raise, where necessary, safety standards.”
